Day 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the lodge or explore the vibrant city known as Tanzania’s safari capital. In the evening, enjoy a detailed safari briefing and prepare for your exciting journey into the remote wilderness of Western Tanzania.

Day 2
Arusha – Katavi National Park
After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Katavi National Park, one of Africa’s most untouched wildlife destinations. Upon arrival, enjoy your first game drive through the park’s vast floodplains, woodlands, and seasonal lakes. Katavi is famous for its enormous buffalo herds, large lion prides, elephants, crocodiles, and hippos. Spend the afternoon exploring this remote wilderness before heading to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3
Full Day Safari in Katavi National Park
Today is dedicated to discovering the incredible wildlife of Katavi National Park. After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive exploring the park’s diverse habitats. During the dry season, hundreds of hippos gather in shrinking pools while crocodiles bask along muddy riverbanks. Large herds of buffalo, zebra, giraffe, and antelope attract predators such as lions and leopards. A picnic lunch will be served in the bush before continuing your afternoon safari.

Day 4
Katavi National Park – Mahale Mountains National Park
After breakfast, depart Katavi and travel to Mahale Mountains National Park, located along the shores of Lake Tanganyika. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch before setting out on an exciting chimpanzee trekking adventure. Accompanied by expert guides, hike through tropical forests in search of habituated chimpanzee families. Observe their fascinating behaviors

Day 5
Mahale Mountains – Arusha – Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning by the shores of Lake Tanganyika. Depending on your flight schedule, you may take a short nature walk, relax on the beach, or enjoy birdwatching around the camp. Later, transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Arusha. Upon arrival, connect with your international departure flight or continue with your onward travel arrangements.
